Who am I and what is the AllThingsVirtualized blog about?

My name is Christian Schallenberg, I am born and raised in Germany, and at the moment I am working as an IT Systems Engineer for a worldwide operating chemical company.

Since I was young I always had a big interest for all things technical. I started my IT journey at the Siemens AG where I was responsible Installation and Administration 3G and 4G mobile networks. I then switched my focus to Windows and Citrix Systems Administration. My second field of expertise was everything regarding Virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware and XenServer).  Before I joined my current employee I worked some years as a Senior IT Consultant and for the third biggest bank in Germany as a Citrix Administrator and IT-Service Manager. So therefore I am also used to the world of ITIL IT Processes ;).

The reason I started the AllThingsVirtualized blog is to share my expertise around everything regarding Citrix, Microsoft, Amazon AWS and Virtualization in general. So you can see why I came up with the name for the blog. I hope that my blog posts will help other people with their day to day job and fixing some problems.

If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact me!
